Agronomy; biodiversity and environmental impacts;
soil fertility, nutrients and nutrient balances; food processing and quality;
livestock production and animal health and welfare; education and knowledge
transfer; research methodology; EU agricultural and environmental policy;
marketing, economics and rural development.
Abstracts of up to 300 words should be submitted to Jane Powell at OCW
(address overleaf) by 8th October 2001.
Papers should emphasize research methodology as well as actual findings.
The relevance of the work to UK farmers and growers, food quality,
organic standards and policy should be highlighted.
Submissions for poster and oral presentations are
invited.
The
Colloquium of Organic Researchers (COR)
was set up in 1999 to advance organic research through a whole-system approach
bringing together economists, ecologists, food scientists, physicists,
statisticians and others. UK Organic 2002 is the first national conference on
organic research to be held in the UK, and it is intended to be the first in a
biennial series organized by COR.
