VEERU has a partnership with a private consultancy company, PAN Livestock Services Ltd, also based in The School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, The University of Reading. This strategic partnership brings together a private company and a university unit working together in the field of livestock health and production, providing flexibility and ability to respond rapidly to research and consultancy needs.

 

 

Within The University of Reading, VEERU collaborates with other Departments in the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development on research projects, including  the Graduate Institute of International Development and Applied Economics and the Agricultural and Food Economics Department.

 

VEERU’s main research partners in the UK in recent years have been:

 

the UK Veterinary Laboratories Agency ;

 

the Scottish Agricultural College ;

 

the University of Bristol School of Veterinary Science

 

Government of Vietnam

 

Currently, VEERU is undertaking research for DEFRA and Wellcome.

  

VEERU is also collaborating with International partners on a number of overseas projects. These include Capricorn Projekt BV and GRM Livestock Services BV (The Netherlands) and Jules van Lancker (Belgium).

  

VEERU has developed a range of specialist livestock software systems which it is now marketing through a joint company called InterAgri. Partners in InterAgri include National Milk Records in the UK.
